As part of our commitment to children and education, teaching financial literacy from a young age and supporting teachers in the classroom are both key initiatives we’re proud to support.

Children & Education is one of our four pillars of community support. Mirastar understands how important education is to create healthy communities. That is why we’re dedicated to working with our educational partners on several long running initiatives.

Annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive

We collaborate with The Family Giving Tree to raise funds for their Annual Backpack Drive, benefiting families who may struggle to afford essential school supplies. To date, the drive has raised $15,000.

Mirastar Scholarship Program

Recognizing the burden of student debt, Mirastar offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors and students pursuing education at accredited universities or community/ technical colleges.

Supporting Santa Clara County Office of Education

Exceptional teachers are the backbone of our community. That’s why we equip Santa Clara County classrooms with STEAM kits and provide access to a financial literacy curriculum.

Santa Clara County Probation Department Transitional Youth Program

We support youths to transition out of the system at age 18, with most going on to college. Mirastar provides initial funding to establish their first checking and savings account to prepare them for the next chapter of their lives.

Social Services Intern & Earn Program

We provide ongoing financial literacy education to County interns.
