We’ve awarded more than $20,000 in educational scholarships to deserving, local students through our Scholarship Program. This program strives to reduce the burden of student debt, so you can focus on your education and achieving your future goals.
Mirastar Scholarship Program
Your finances should never constrain your potential. We are thrilled to announce that applications for our 2026-2027 Educational Scholarships are now open! Whether you are a graduating high school senior or a post-secondary student pursuing a degree at an accredited university or technical college, we want to help fuel your journey. With awards of up to $2,000, we’re investing in the leaders, innovators, and dreamers of tomorrow—empowering our members to reach their brightest academic and financial futures.
How the scholarship program works
Membership
Must be a Mirastar member with an account in good standing. Not a member? Click here to join today!
Academic Standing
Must be a graduating high school senior or post-secondary student – ages 17 to 25.
Performance
Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and official/sealed transcripts.
Step 1: Complete the online entry form
Fill out Online Entry FormStep 2: Email your documents
Once you complete Step 1, email the following to scholarships@mirastarfcu.org with the subject line:
[Full Name] – 2026 Scholarship Documents:
- Official Transcript (PDF)
- This Year’s Theme: “Investing in the future”
Tell us about a time you made a positive impact in your community or a personal goal you’ve set for your future. How will this scholarship help you continue that impact or achieve that goal, and what does ‘financial success’ mean to you? - Current Photo (Headshot preferred)
- Your Response either in Essay (≤ 250 words / PDF) or Video (≤ 2 minutes / Provide a link from YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive)
- Signed Social Media Publicity and Photo Release Form
